Broken Arrow Location Opens!
Hideaway Pizza fans in Broken Arrow quickly discovered our doors were open on April 27th, 2009, as we began doing business in our 10th location! The restaurant is located on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Highway 51 (Broken Arrow Expressway) and Lynn Lane. With Miss Rooster Days and several members of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce on hand, owners Brett Murphy and Darren Lister and General Manager Justin McGowen successfully launched a booming first day of business! Five lucky people were selected from the first week’s guests to receive free Hideaway Pizza for a year!
We chose to Partner In Education with Westwood Elementary in Broken Arrow, and Hideaway Pizza was thrilled to donate a check for $12,393.86, representing our entire first day’s proceeds, to Principal Terry Carner. Principal Carner said the money would be used to replace their playground equipment and to purchase a few smart boards for the classrooms.
The restaurant has a feature unique to all Hideaway Pizzas…it has it’s very own mini-starscape, complete with the night sky over Broken Arrow! Check it out under our spinning globe…! Remember, One Planet, One Pizza!

That’s right, we have a winner in our very first contest for our guests to create a pizza for the Hideaway menu! We sent our word to all you social media hounds via Twitter with the details, and Ryan Shimp of Oklahoma City submitted the winning entry by TWEET! For his creative efforts, his pizza appears on our New Pizza special insert in the menu and he won a $100 Hideaway Pizza gift card. Where’s Kahuna???
You know that tee shirt that they sell in tourist shops that says “My Grandma Got to go to (fill in the exotic locations) and all I got was this lousy tee shirt? Well, we want to reverse that! We want the tee shirt to do the traveling, and we want the photos of Kahuna traveling the globe with you, wherever your travels may take you! So pack your cool Hideaway tie dye with you when you take off this year and send us the pics of Kahuna surfing, mountain climbing, riding the cable cars, downing dogs at Coney Island or beers in an Irish pub!
